Water: Multi-Species Migration and Displacement

Water: Multi-Species Migration and Displacement
Interactive Artwork

Robin Lasser & Marguerite Perret
United States

A collaborative installation created by international artists responding to the environmental, social, personal, and political issues surrounding water. Artists are asked to reflect on their relationship to water, considering the migration and displacement of all species. These reflections inspire individual images that are backed by nautical flag symbols. Historically used to express notifications for ships at sea, artists create their own messages, using the “international language” inherent in image making, and in this nautical signaling process.
